Roots of survival is a fast-paced idle game where you play as a forest in a survival setting. Place your trees near water sources, use resources to lure animals, use animals to protect from humans. Manage your resources to grow all across the map.

Controls:

  • q = use on a bush to grow it into a tree (uses 3 fertilizers)
  • w = use on a bush to lure a rabbit out (uses 3 water drops)
  • r = restart

Tips:

  • Only trees near water sources generate water drops.
  • When a human sees a rabbit, it kills it and returns home. The dead rabbit turns into fertilizer, which then can be used to plant more trees.

Very cute and relaxing concept. I reached 46 trees until I physically couldn't keep up with the click rate required. It became quite frantic! Some automation would help. I did hit a couple bugs once the tree density got that high - one human got stuck standing still, and one bone/fertilizer couldn't be collected. I like the idea of filling the screen with wildlife, similar to Terra Nil. This is a bit of a twist in that you have to maintain balance with your hungry human neighbors.

Lovely game! I love the art but get a little confused on how to lure at the right time. when would the correctly time/position to lure human? there are several times I make a bunny but human just ignore it :(

Also feel bad for the bunnies that did lure successfully :P

Anyway I think if add some more elements and automation, this can be a great idle game!
